School Supplies

WHAT:  Now that The Magooli Children's Education Center  - NAMAYINGO is open, we need to stock the school with supplies for both the teachers and children.  Below are the materials needed as soon as possible for a smooth running of the school. The monthly cost of running the school is not reflected below. Some of the things needed monthly are chalk, reams of paper, manila cards, markers, preparation books, pens, staple wires, and salaries for the teachers and cook. The list of needed items is so expansive it couldn't all be included .

HOW: Donations via our website (button below) are the easiest and fastest way to get supplies to the school. This money will be sent directly to Uganda for supplies to be purchased locally. Shipping supplies to Uganda is allowed, however please keep in mind it is very costly. Please email childcrisiscenteruganda@gmail.com for shipping instructions and tips.

Sponsoring A Child

WHAT: Child Crisis Center Uganda offers individuals the opportunity to sponsor a child from Magooli Village.

WHY: The children of Uganda are the future of Uganda.

Uganda has endured some of the greatest tragedies known to mankind. The aftermath has left many people diseased, impoverished and without hope.

These children are the survivors. In many cases these children have lost both parents and are living with grandparents or guardians. The child you sponsor will receive opportunities and services that most of the world's poorest children never see.

These opportunities and services include:

  • The opportunity to receive an education: In some cases, this means providing the cost of school fees, clothing and supplies. Your sponsorship will allow one special child to stay in school longer if formal schooling is an option and get the most out of his or her education.
  • The opportunity to be healthy: The health of the child you sponsor will be monitored and care will be provided as needed. Children are taught about hygiene and how to maintain personal health. This includes working to provide consistent, nutritious food.
  • The opportunity to develop self-confidence and social skills: The child you sponsor will be part of a program where adults offer love, guidance, personal attention, guided recreation and safety.

HOW:  Join us in support of these children.  With your help, they will be able to grow in ways they never would have dreamed- you will help to create their shining future!
